Karmakand is an important part of Indian Vedic culture.
It does not refer only to yajnas and rituals, but encompasses all religious, social, and cultural acts of human life.
According to the methods and procedures described in the Vedas, all sixteen sacraments (sanskars) from birth to death, including worship, havan, shraddha, marriage, and land worship, fall under Karmakand.
Karmakand is formed by two words: Karma (whatever is done) and Kand (chapter or method).
It means performing specific actions on each important occasion or event of life, according to the instructions of the Vedas, is called Vedic Karmakand.
It is said in the Vedas that through Karmakand, a person attains the desired results, whether it be material wealth and comforts, or spiritual achievements like liberation (moksha).
